Kenneth Wolfgang, FCS, PCS, CPC, CPC-H
CEO, Chargemaster Maintenance Services

Ken hails from Portland, OR. He is the CEO of Chargemaster Maintenance Services, a consulting company specializing in chargemaster evaluation, standardization, redesign, revenue cycle, and facility reimbursement and compliance issues.

Ken formerly served on the National Advisory Board and Executive Boards of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and is a founding member of the American College of Medical Coding Specialists (ACMCS). He served on the Peer Review Editorial Board for CONTEXO Media and presently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Pathology/Lab Coding Alert, a periodic publication that focuses on topics in laboratory medicine.

Sarah L. Goodman, MBA, CHCAF, CPC-H, CCP, FCS

Sarah, a nationally known speaker and author on the Charge Description Master (CDM), HCPCS coding, and billing compliance, has more than 28 years experience in the healthcare industry.  Prior to founding SLG, Inc., a national chargemaster coding, standardization, and billing compliance consulting firm, in 1998, she was the Senior Chargemaster Specialist at Tenet HealthSystem’s corporate office in Nashville, Tennessee (formerly OrNda HealthCorp) responsible for chargemaster standardizations and reviews at more than one hundred facilities across the country, and for more than 13 years held various financial and system management positions at Lourdes Hospital, part of the Ascension Health system, in Binghamton, New York.

Sarah is an active member of both the North Carolina chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (NCHFMA), having served as past Membership Council Chair on the Board of Directors (2002-2004), past-Chair of the Hospital Services Committee, and of the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), having served in various capacities, including National Advisory Board member (2002-2005) and President, for the Triangle North Carolina local chapter.  Additionally, Sarah was a consulting editor for The Coding Institute, Naples, Florida, from 2003-2008, and until August 2009, served on the Board of Governors for the American College of Medical Coding Specialists (ACMCS).  For the years 2006-2007, Sarah was named Executive of the Year in Coding and Compliance by Cambridge (formerly Empire) Who’s Who.

Sarah is also currently a Certified Health Care Auditor and facility instructor for the Association of Health Care Auditors and Educators (AHCAE), a member of the Outpatient/ASC Editorial Advisory Board for SuperCoder.com, a member of AHIMA’s 2013 Clinical Terminology & Classification Practice Council, and a technical editor for MedLearn Publishing, a division of Panacea Healthcare Solutions.
